Project Management
Project officer, project coordinator, project manager — I deliver the project on time and on budget.
You already run activities — a construction site, a grant, a team, a campaign — and you want to plan, budget and report in a way that survives scrutiny.
What you'll be able to do
- Write a scope statement and a work breakdown a team can actually execute
- Build a realistic schedule and defend the critical path
- Prepare and track a project budget against real spending
- Run a risk register and escalate before a problem becomes a loss
- Write a progress report a funder or a board reads without asking twice
How it's built
Course content comes from free open sources — the Open University project management units, Saylor Academy management courses, and the published PMBOK and PRINCE2 vocabulary. On top of that we teach the reporting formats used by donors and public contracting offices in Central and West Africa, which no global course covers.
What you earn
- Free completion records from the open providers, in their own name
- An LES Institute certificate covering an assessed project plan, budget and progress report
- Optional and paid: CAPM or PRINCE2 Foundation, booked and paid directly with the awarding body
Requirements
- Secondary school completion
- Basic spreadsheet use
- A smartphone or laptop
- Teaching in French or English, your choice
